Elrick Guitars Announces the Daric Bennett Signature Bass

Elrick Guitars Platinum Series e-volution DBS Daric Bennnett Signature Bass

Elrick Guitars has teamed up with bassist Daric Bennett to introduce the Platinum Series e-volution DBS (Daric Bennett Signature). The new model, which is part of their U.S. hand-carved basses, is designed to fit the bassist’s wide style.

“A respected player and educator, Daric is well known for his unique percussive style, and for combining funk, blues, gospel, and jazz fusion into his playing,” Elrick writes. “Having appeared on numerous albums, countless live and televised performances, Daric now also maintains a regular touring schedule. The Platinum Series DBS bass guitar was developed to facilitate Daric’s incredible technique while delivering the responsiveness and tone his playing demands.”

The singlecut design is built with neck-through construction featuring a 3-piece quartersawn maple neck, an alder body with a soft maple center-block, and a burled walnut top. Its birdseye maple fretboard has glow-in-the-dark side and top position markers for better visibility. Finally, luthier Rob Elrick fits the bass with a pair of Bartolini dual coil pickups matched to a 3-band preamp.

The Elrick Guitars Platinum Series e-volution DBS Daric Bennett Signature will is available directly from the builder as well as select dealers with a price point starting at $5,300 for a four-string version.
