Raymond Elgar's Double Bass Books

If you’re interested in the history of the double bass, you may want to check out Stephen Street’s new republished editions of three books by Raymond Elgar: Introduction to the Double Bass, More About the Double Bass, and Looking At The Double Bass. Originally published in the 1960s, the books chronicle the double bass in three aspects.

Introduction covers the origin and evolution of the bass, while More About covers players, instruments, and repair techniques. Finally, Looking At focuses on cataloging important luthiers from years past with over 100 pictures.

Introduction to the Double Bass, More About the Double Bass, and Looking At The Double Bass are available now for $12.68.

Unfortunately these links take you to the Amazon listings for the original editions which are set at ludicrous prices of $788 and more. Searching for the re-published editions under Stephen Street doesn’t yield many results either. Is there an update on where these can be found?
