Free The Tone Introduces the Black Vehicle Bass Overdrive Pedal

Free The Tone Black Vehicle Bass Overdrive Pedal

Free the Tone has unveiled the Black Vehicle, a bass overdrive that is part of their 15th anniversary project called the Integrated Series. Described as having a wide range of “amp like” sounds, the pedal includes a unique new circuit called the Holistic Tonal Solution.

“The HTS circuit prevents a thin sound, makes the texture of the sounds from the unit uniform when it is turned on and off, and feeds the received signals to the following circuit in an optimal condition,” the company explains.

It also has a newly designed EQ circuit plus a mix knob. The treble and bass knobs only affect the driven signal, while the dry signal is blended in with the mix. The Black Vehicle also has a boost with pre- and post-boost options that allow you to route the boost into the overdrive section or to the output signal.

The Free the Tone Black Vehicle will be available in September with a price point of $370.
