Azusa Features Ex-Dillinger Escape Plan Bassist Liam Wilson

Dillinger Escape Plan may have called it quits, but bassist Liam Wilson is far from done with music. He’s just announced a new band called Azusa, which also features Extol’s Christer Espevoll and David Husvik with Sea + Air vocalist Eleni Zafiriadou. The group has just announced a new album, Heavy Yoke, will be released on November 16th.

“This album is special for all of us and we’re currently feeling the same excited feelings we got before we debuted any of our previous efforts,” the band stated. “We are really fortunate to have been able to create these songs together and to be able to share them with fans of our former and current bands, as well as new fans.”

They also released a video for their first single, “Interstellar Islands,” which they say is the perfect example of what they’re all about musically. Check out Wilson’s monster bass playing:
