Taurus Announces the Vandall-500 Bass Amp
Taurus has expanded their lineup of bass amps with the Vandall-500, a 500-watt RMS head with dual inputs and both solid state and tube preamps.
“The solid-state pre-amp ensures great dynamic while the tube pre-amp provides a warm, soft sound. Both pre-amps can be steplessly mixed to offer the whole spectrum of desired sounds, from crisp and clear to slightly overdriven tube,” Taurus writes.
It also includes their DBS (Dynamic Bass System) and MLO (Mid-Level Optimization) tone systems. The DBS is a bass boost that increases low end while preserving clarity. Similarly, the MLO aims to keep your mids clear and present.
“It ensures the most accurate proportion of medium frequencies in accordance of your manual settings of bass and treble,” they explain. “In addition, the MLO equalizer ensures virtually no change in overall volume while changing the bass frequencies. Unlike most of the standard amps, adjusting bass frequency the musician notices change of the sound not the volume.”
Other features include a mute button, a clip indicator, an effects loop, and a balanced XLR output.
The Taurus Vandall-500 is available for order now with an approximate price of $799.
