EBS Announces the Reidmar 502 Bass Amplifier

EBS expanded their Reidmar bass amp series this year with the Reidmar 502. The lightweight amp is rated at 500 watts and handles a 2-ohm load, allowing it to run two 4-ohm cabinets at once.
“Due to EBS clever developed Soft-clip design, the Reidmar 502 makes efficient use of all the power at hand,” EBS writes. “That means more punch and a lot less compressed sound than with lightweight amplifiers using automatic limiters to prevent clipping. It prevents the bass tone from sounding muddy and keep the lows solid on higher volumes.”
The Reidmar 502 carries several of the company’s flagship preamp features including a Character switch, an onboard compressor/limiter, and a Filter switch for changing the three-band EQ’s voicing. Its mid frequencies are also sweepable from 100Hz to 6kHz. The amp’s rear panel is equipped with an XLR direct output, an effects loop, and a headphone output.
The EBS Reidmar 502 will be shipping soon with a street price of $549.99.
