Ibanez Celebrates the BTB Bass with 20th Anniversary Models
It’s been 20 years since Ibanez first introduced the BTB, and they’re celebrating in 2019 with the BTB 20th Anniversary Bass. Available in five and six-string versions, the neck-through bass is constructed with a five-piece maple and walnut neck, ash and okoume body wings, and flamed maple.
Its panga fretboard is adorned with abalone dot inlays and 24 frets plus a zero fret at the nut. Ibanez fits the models with a set of Nordstrand Big Single pickups matched to a custom Ibanez three-band EQ. A three-way mini-switch allows for toggling the mid-frequency between 250Hz, 450Hz, and 700Hz. Other features include an MR5S bridge, a locking output jack, and Ibanez tuners.
The Ibanez BTB20TH5 comes in a Blue Reef Gradation low gloss finish while the BTB20TH6 comes in a Brown Topaz Burst. They are available now with prices of $1,299 and $1,399.
