Fender Announces Limited Edition Lightweight Ash American Professional Jazz Bass

Fender Lightweight Ash American Professional Jazz Bass

Fender has unveiled a new limited edition of instruments called the Lightweight Ash American Professional line. The series includes a Strat, a Telecaster, and, most importantly, a Jazz Bass. Each model is built with a lightweight ash body while retaining most features from their American Professional counterpart.

For the Jazz bass, that means a slim modern “C”-shaped neck profile, a rosewood fingerboard with 20 narrow-tall frets, and a pair of Michael Bump-designed V-Mod single coil Jazz Bass pickups. It sets itself apart from the series with aged white pickup covers and American Elite control knobs.

The Fender Lightweight Ash American Professional Jazz Bass comes in a Sienna Sunburst finish. It’s available now with a street price of $1,849.

Uh, if you’re advertising a “lightweight” bass, it’d be good to know how much it weighs…

How about giving the weight? I understand they may all be a little different but how about a general idea??
