Guitarist Chandresh Kudwa’s “Free Spirit” is a pretty amazing instrumental rock record, which features bassist Mohini Dey and drummer Gino Banks. “Disco Chicken”, the album’s second track, is a fun ride.

Chick Corea has a new project called the Spanish Heart Band that has released their first album, called “Antidote.” The jazz pianist partially revisits his classic album, “My Spanish Heart,” for the record. The band is full of jazz luminaries including bassist Carlitos del Puerto.

For the first time in nearly two decades, the Cro-Mags have released new music. The NYC Hardcore band, led by bassist/vocalist Harley Flanagan, dropped a three-track EP called “Don’t Give In” that marks their first new music since 2000’s “Revenge.”
