Bass Bash 2020 Set for January 16-17

Bass Bash 2020

Each year, the Winter NAMM Show brings the top industry talent to Anaheim, California. That includes bassists, who all flock to the Bass Bash. This year the event returns on January 16th and 17th with one of its best lineups yet.

Held at the Phoenix Club in Anaheim, the two-night bass bonanza will feature Cody Wright, Damian Erskine, Ben Kenney, Tal Wilkenfeld, and Scott Ambush on Thursday night. Friday night will showcase Teymur Phell, Bubby Lewis, Mai Leisz, Jimmy Haslip, and Henrik Linder.

Aside from the performances, Bass Bash has a selection of exhibitors: A.C. Guitars, Adamovic Basses, Ambush Basses, BackBeat, Ergo Straps, Nordstrand Audio, Skjold Designs, and Lathon Bass Wear. Each night also features a raffle with items ranging from t-shirts to gig bags to an MTD bass.

Admission is $20 per night and is open to the public. Bass Bash director Toné Compito Wellington says the event will help musicians. “The goal is for proceeds, if any, to be distributed to one or more non-profit organizations specifically designed for musicians,” she writes. “Some will be used to fund a Bass Bash scholarship to Victor Wooten’s Center for Music and Nature, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, to study with Victor Wooten and other world-renowned music educators. Another non-profit we would like to donate to assists underinsured or uninsured musicians with medical needs or injuries of the hands/elbows/shoulders that affect their ability to play their instruments.”
