Warwick Announces Rockbass Corvette Multi-Scale Five-String Bass

Warwick Rockbass Corvette Multi-Scale 5-String Bass

Warwick is unveiling loads of new instruments at the 2020 Winter NAMM Show including the new Rockbass Corvette Multi-Scale five-string bass. It marks their first foray into the fanned fret design.

“The RockBass Corvette Multi Scale 5 String Bass offers optimal playability, ergonomics, and sound with its fanned frets,” they write. “The lower the string, the longer its scale length – and the higher the string, the shorter its scale length: multi-scale 35.5″ to 34″ (902 mm to 864 mm).”

Warwick builds the new bass with a red alder body and maple burl top in a Nirvana Black transparent finish. Its bolt-on maple neck has Ekanga veneer stripes and a wenge fingerboard with 24 extra-high jumbo frets. Other features include MEC Soapbar pickups, an active 2-band Rockbass preamp, two mini switches for humbucker modes (serial/single coil/parallel), and Warwick hardware.

The Warwick Rockbass Corvette Multi-Scale five-string bass will be debuted at the NAMM Show with an approximate price point of $1,299.
