Become A Bassist Summit Offers Free Master Classes August 10-14

Become A Bassist Summit

Luke McIntosh of Become A Bassist has unveiled an amazing online event for bassists this month. The Become A Bassist Summit is scheduled to take place August 10th through the 14th with nearly 20 world-class bassists and teachers. It’s also free for a limited time.

“I’ve gathered nearly 20 of the world’s leading bass players and teachers and convinced them to share their expertise to help bass players like you improve their skills in super practical, no-B.S. ways,” McIntosh writes. “These aren’t just surface-level ‘tips’ that you might find in a random YouTube video. These are the world’s best players and teachers doing deep dives into everything from technique to groove, to the ‘non-musical’ skills that will make you a better musician.”

Each day of the summit will feature three to four master classes focusing on a topic. Day one (August 10th) will be filled with lessons on technique by Mark Peric, Nathaniel Andrew, and Magnus Sjöquist. Day two (August 11th) will be about groove with clinics by Nick Clark, Ian King, and two No Treble contributors: Damian Erskine and Ryan Madora. Day three (August 12th) is about improvisation with teachers Tim Lefebvre, Roy Vogt, and No Treble contributor Ariane Cap. Day four (August 13th) covers creativity with Bryan Beller, David LaBruyere, McIntosh, and James Eager. Finally, Day five (August 14th) is called “‘Non-Bassist’ Skills That Make You The Best Musician You Can Be”. It will have Anthony Crawford, Noa Kageyama, and Greg Hagger speaking on how to make a living as a bassist, practicing for improvement, and how to read music.

The Become A Bassist Summit is free and open to the public. Each masterclass is available for 48 hours after it has been released, meaning you can watch it after it airs. You can gain lifetime access to all of the lessons for just $49. For more info, visit the Become A Bassist Summit website.
