Sandberg Guitars Upgrades the Electra Series Basses
Sandberg Guitars has updated its Electra series of basses for 2020 with a hardware upgrade and a new color option. The line includes the VS and TT models, each of which is four-string basses.
“Now the Electra series gets upgraded tuning machines with adjustable rotational resistance,” Sandberg explains. “Furthermore, the color palette has been expanded with tobacco burst is as a new option besides the already known high gloss finishes black and crème. And last but not least the maple fingerboard will be replaced by a rosewood fingerboard.”
Other features of the bass remain unchanged, including a basswood body, a Canadian hard rock maple neck, Sandberg-designed pickups, and active 2-band EQ. The Electra Series is Sandberg’s entry-level line is designed and assembled in Germany with hand-selected components from Korea.
The Sandberg Electra VS 4-string carries a recommended retail price of approximately $997 with the TT 4-string coming in at $1,058.
