Sandberg Guitars Unveils Florence Nova Bass for 40th Anniversary at Winter NAMM 2026

Sandberg Florence Nova Full Trio

Germany’s Sandberg Guitars has made the trek to Anaheim, California to take part in the 2026 Winter NAMM Show, and they’ve brought something special for the trip. They’ve unveiled the Florence Nova Bass, a bass designed in collaboration with artist Victor Tugores to commemorate the company’s 40th anniversary. Sandberg calls it a refined evolution of their design philosophy.

“Developed hand-in-hand with Tugores, the Florence Nova Bass reflects a shared vision of individuality, tone, and modern elegance,” Sandberg writes. “Every detail, from its sculpted body to its minimalist electronics, has been carefully considered to deliver a bass that is as inspiring to look at as it is to play.”

Available in four or five-string configurations, the hand-built bass is crafted with two body options: a flamed maple top over an alder body, or a koa top with a mahogany body. Each is fitted with a five-piece hardrock maple and mahogany bolt-on neck and a choice of a fretted or fretless fingerboard.

Sandberg gives the Florence Nova a single soapbar pickup and passive electronics, letting the wood speak for itself. The tone knob has a push/pull function to offer two different tone cuts. Altogether, the bass stands as a symbol of the company’s legacy.

“The result is a bass that honors four decades of innovation while confidently stepping into the next chapter of Sandberg Guitars,” they write. “The Florence Nova Bass is more than an anniversary model. It is a celebration of collaboration, artistry, and the enduring spirit of Sandberg Guitars.”

Pricing and availability of the Sandberg Florence Nova is still TBD.
