Ryan Martinie: Bass Playthrough of Soften the Glare’s “Turn Around”
Today, we’re super excited to help premiere a new playthrough video by Ryan Martinie for Soften The Glare’s “Turn Around”. The track, which opens their 2017 debut Making Faces, features all the bassist’s signature style including tapping, slapping, and strumming like a beast. The former Mudvayne bassist also takes the lead to show off his melodic sensibilities.
The video was filmed by fellow bassist Nick Schendzielos, who tells us Soften the Glare is recording an EP with Chase O’Neal at Big Rude Studio in North Carolina. Schendzielos is in the thick of it with them to create a mini-doc of the making of the album. Stay tuned for more on that!
