Solar Guitars Introduces Three New Bass Models
Ola Englund’s Solar Guitars has unveiled three new basses to their lineup for 2022 with the AB2.4ON, the AB2.4S, and the AB2.5GN. Each bass is part of the AB series and carries the same body shape, active Solar pickups, and 2-band preamp.
The AB2.4ON is a four-string crafted with an alder body in an orange neon matte finish with matching headstock. Its five-piece maple and jatoba neck has a thin C-shape profile with a 24-fret ebony fingerboard.
The AB2.4S also comes in an alder body but has a more subdued silver matte finish. Its neck is a three-piece roasted maple that also serves as the fingerboard.
Finally, theAB2.5GN is a five-string in a green neon matte finish. It features the same alder body, maple and jatoba neck, and ebony fingerboard as the AB2.4ON. Solar also boosted the scale an inch to make it an extended 35 inches.

The new basses are available for pre-order with street pricing of $849 for the AB2.4ON, $799 for the AB2.4S, and $949 for the AB2.5GN.

Some of the better designed headstocks I’ve seen on bass guitars. (Except for those ~sharp~ points?) No wasted space to increase unnecessary weight at the tip of the instrument! -An intelligent design concept that looks good too….
