Grez Guitars Introduces the Mendocino Short Scale Bass

Grez Guitars has unveiled a new bass model called the Mendocino Short Scale Bass. The instrument is a compact, lightweight semi-hollowbody design that takes its cues from a vintage four-string.
“After a year in design, and with encouragement from Matt Hill and Curtis Novak, I have finally finished the Mendocino Bass!” Luthier Barry Grzebik shares. “Yes, it’s semi-hollow and only 5.6 pounds, yes it’s inspired by the old Danelectro Short Horn bass and yes, they are available for order now!”
Grez builds the Mendocino Bass with a solid old growth redwood top while utilizing Honduran mahogany for the back, sides, and neck. The Macassar Ebony fingerboard has 18 jumbo frets with dot inlay. The nut width is 1.625 inches.
Other features include Gotoh Res-O-Lite tuners, a TonePros AVR2 bridge with Babicz saddles, and Curtis Novak Lipstick pickups.

Not at all affordable for most people but it has a nice sound. Unfortunately, I have to pass.
My favorite style bass. And it sounds sweet.
