Bass of the Week: Zoot Bass Boudica “Wal-A-Like”
This week we’re taking a look at a special Zoot Bass Boudica built for Mark Newman. The 32-inch scale custom shop bass is dubbed the “Wal-a-like” in part for its Veijo Rautia Multi-coil “Wal” pickups that pay homage to the legendary instruments.
To complete the sound, Zoot also fitted the bass with a Lusithand Double NFP-Special preamp. Other features include a body made with a mahogany core with Padauk for the front and back, an ebony fingerboard, and a satin wax and oil finish.
More details can be found on the Zoot Bass website.

This is a cool looking bass; but the lack of matching hardware would drive me bonkers!
Lovely… Great proportions; a fine balance of features with no wasted space. And straight thru tuners with a small headstock. ~All little but important features that together make a good bass into a great playable one IMO.
