Bass of the Week: Faray Guitars LB-5
Faray Guitars recently shared their latest completed instrument called the LB-5. Handcrafted in Indonesia, the multi-scale five-string bass is built with a chambered ash body in a striking black and white finish. That dark look is contrasted by its Birdseye maple fingerboard and brown pickup covers.
Faray built the LB-5 with lots of tonal versatility. It has a pair of Bartolini BH2 pickups with a G&L preamp. The control layout includes volume, balance, mid, treble, and bass knobs, as well as switches for active/passive operation and split coil mode on for the pickups. Finally, Hipshot tuners and a monorail bridge system tie it all together.
