Soilwork Releases “Övergivenheten”, featuring Rasmus Ehrnborn
Swedish melodic death metal masters Soilwork has just dropped their 12th studio album. Over 25 years since their formation, Övergivenheten seems to only prove the band’s lasting power.
“The title track of this album just might be the pinnacle of this band’s musical journey – it sums up everything that we’ve ever been about and the sometimes risky musical venture that this band embarked on some 20 years ago,” says vocalist Björn Strid. “To me this song is as close to the heart as it gets.”
Övergivenheten is the first recording to feature bassist Rasmus Ehrnborn, who was named an official member back in May after being a touring member for two years. He shared the album’s release on Instagram, calling it “a record that I’m damn proud to have been a part of.”
