Von Frankenstein Monster Gear Launches Alan Robert Signature Bass Strings

Von Frankenstein Monster Gear Alan Robert Signature Bass Strings

Earlier this year, Von Frankenstein Monster Gear launched a new series of bass strings called BeastMode. Now they’ve unveiled two new sets of signature bass strings with Life of Agony’s Alan Robert. Robert’s Agonizers and Ten Tone Terror are stainless steel strings that are handcrafted one string at a time.

Robert has been with Life of Agony since its inception in 1989. This year marks the 30th anniversary of their breakthrough record, River Runs Red, which features some heavy bass lines. Robert’s new strings are designed especially for drop tuning.

“Alan Robert’s stainless steel bass strings come in two different gauges for two corresponding tunings,” a press release explains. “Agonizers (AR5005) are medium gauge and ideal for F/C/G/D tuning at .050/.070/.085/.105. Ten Ton Terror strings (AR5510) are medium heavy for D#/A#/F/C tuning, at .055/.075/.090/.110.”

The Von Frankenstein Alan Robert Signature Bass Strings are made in the U.S. using domestically sourced raw materials. They’re available direct from the company for $28.99.
