Primus with Danny Carey, Justin Chancellor, and Troy Van Leeuwen: Ænima

If you missed the special benefit concert Primus threw for Jimmy Hayward, you missed a special night of music. Les Claypool and company welcomed Tool’s Danny Carey and Justin Chancellor as well as more special guests for the event. Luckily, the band has released a video from the night.

The five musicians, plus Queens of the Stone Age’s Troy Van Leeuwen, tackled Tool’s classic track “Ænima,” with Claypool handling the vocals while Chancellor delivered some punishing bass lines. It’s as epic as you’d think.

Even though the concert came and went, they aren’t done raising money to support Hayward. A GoFundMe campaign is live now, plus special signed items from the night – including a signed Dunable USA Custom Yeti Bass – are being auctioned here.

Nope. Not going to watch stuff with satanic symbolism.
