Tech 21 Unveils Frank Bello Street Driver 48 Signature SansAmp Pedal
Tech 21 has been rolling out signature gear for rock icons like Steve Harris, Dug Pinnick, and Geddy Lee over the past few years, and now they’ve got another artist on that list. The company has just revealed the Frank Bello Street Driver 48 Signature SansAmp, which puts the Anthrax bassist’s own stamp on their SansAmp pedal series.
The control set includes a Dirt switch for extra gain and a Filth switch for enhanced “top-end sizzle and razor edge clarity.” From there, it has knobs for Drive, Low and High EQ, and Level.
“In addition to the specific tones Frank wanted, a major priority was to make the Street Driver 48 simple to operate,” Tech 21 explains. “He didn’t want an excessive amount of knobs and switches, or gratuitous bells & whistles. He wanted players to be able to get a great sound right out of the box, whether it’s for metal or R&B or prog rock, whether the player is a novice or expert, young or advanced in years.”
Other features include a 9V DC power supply, 1/4-inch and XLR outputs, and a rugged all-metal housing. The Tech 21 Frank Bello Street Driver 48 Signature SansAmp will be shipping in mid-October with a to-be-announced price point.
