Earthquaker Devices Announces the Blumes Bass Overdrive Pedal

Earthquaker Devices Blumes Bass Overdrive Pedal

Earthquaker Devices has expanded their pedal lineup with a new bass overdrive called Blumes. Though the company’s effects have often been used for bass, the Blumes is their first overdrive made specifically for bass.

“This all-analog tri-mode overdrive with soft clipping carries the torch of the classic screamer circuit but has a voice all its own,” thy write. “And thanks to its bipolar power, you’ll get more dynamics, clarity, and all the headroom you could ever desire. The end result is a more three-dimensional tone with added clarity that really pushes a nice tube amp over the edge.”

The Blumes is based on their Plumes circuit, but has double the gain and a deeper bass response. It has three clipping options: a symmetrical LED, a pure OpAmp gain boost, and and asymmetrical silicon diode arrangement. A three-way mini-switch lets you toggle between each mode while three knobs control Level, Tone, and Gain.

The Earthquaker Devices Blumes Bass Overdrive is available now for $99.
