The Immediate Family Announce February Tour

The Immediate Family

Leland Sklar and The Immediate Family have announced a tour just ahead of the release of their upcoming album, Skin in the Game, which is out on February 16th. The seven shows will be spread between California and Florida through the month including a few days on the Rock Legends Cruise out of Miami.

The Immediate Family includes Sklar with his longtime collaborators and fellow session legends: Danny Kortchmar, Waddy Wachtel, Russ Kunkel, and Steve Postell. Unfortunately, Wachtel will miss the the dates as he will be busy serving as lead guitarist and musical director for Stevie Nicks on her tour. His spot will be filled by another rock icon: The Cars lead guitarist Elliot Easton.

“I am so incredibly honored that the Immediate Family has asked me to fill in for Waddy Wachtel,” notes Easton. “I have been influenced by so much of the music that they made while I was coming up and trying to learn about what made a great record and how to construct catchy guitar parts! These guys are like my big brothers, and I’m so excited to have this opportunity to play with them. We’ll have some song surprises, and I hope that folks enjoy the show!”

The tour begins on February 13th with a sold out show at The Mint in Los Angeles. After three more nights in California, they’ll board the Rock Legends cruise from the 22nd to the 26th. The final date is scheduled for February 28th in Hallandale Beach, Florida.

Skin in the Game will be out on February 16th. Check out the video for the title track:
