Dethklok Announces Spring Tour with Pete Griffin on Bass

Pete Griffin of Dethklok

Dethklok is heading back out on the road in April for the “Mutilation on a Spring Night” tour. Running April 3rd through May 3rd, the run will take them from coast to coast with support from DragonForce and Nekrogoblikon.

The animated band is the brainchild of Brendon Small, who crafted the show Metalocaplypse around them to celebrate heavy metal’s awesome and ridiculous sides. The group most recently released <em>Dethalbum IV, as well as the feature-length film, Army of the Doomstar.

The animated bassist in Dethklok is William Murderface, but the live touring bassist is once again Pete Griffin. The L.A.-based musician is accustomed to working with rock gods, as his resume includes stints with Paul Gilbert, Steve Vai, Zakk Wylde, and more.

The tour will begin in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, at the House of Blues before heading north and west. They’ll cut all the way to California and then up to the Pacific Northwest to wrap up in Portland, Oregon.
