Jazz is Dead, Featuring Alphonso Johnson, Announces June 2024 Tour

Alphonso Johnson and Jazz is Dead have confirmed a June outing called the “Right Outside This Lazy Summer Home” tour. The band, which reimagines Grateful Dead songs in a jazz context, is filled out by guitarist Steve Kimock, multi-instrumentalist Bobby Lee Rodgers, and drummer Pete Lavezzoli.

The tour kicks off on June 6th at The Wilbur in Boston, Massachusetts. From there they will play two shows in Connecticut and two in New York. The last date so far is June 15th at Tarrytown Music Hall in Tarrytown, New York although the band says more dates are to be announced.
