Bass of the Week: Disher Rattlesnake Bass

This week, we’re looking at the Disher Rattlesnake Bass, a cool bass packed with tonal options. The body is fitted with an Artec mudbucker and a Wilkinson P/J pickup set. The bass takes its name from the political cartoon carried through its design and is available in natural, metallic cherry red, or metallic blue.
“A unique, versatile sounding bass guitar accented with the cool, political ‘Join, or Die’ rattlesnake cartoon created by Benjamin Franklin in 1754. (Combining Disher Music Gear’s two loves: music & history. Because what’s more punk rock than that?),” they write. “The headstock shape is reminiscent of an antique revolutionary war saber (a fitting shape to imprint the ‘Join, or Die,’ cartoon snake head as well).”
Disher assembles the bass with a basswood body, maple neck, and rosewood fingerboard fitted with pearl block inlays. Other features include vintage chrome open-gear tuners, a chrome bridge, and a bone nut.
Disher is a new company that designs the basses and outsources the parts. “Disher Music Gear is a family-operated small business located in Michigan, USA. Our products are built to last and are made based on our own designs by trusted manufacturers that act ethically to their workforce. We personally package and ship every product,” they write.

What’s the scale length? I had the same pickup idea in a short-scale format.
It’s medium scale per the specs listed above…
Wow. Don’t know how I missed that… Thanks!
