Bass of the Week: This Hand-Painted Boyarsky Paradox is a Custom Masterpiece

Boyarsky Guitars Paradox Bass

This week, we’re checking out a stunning bass by Boyarsky Guitars. This Paradox model has a lot going on with a white ash body and maple burl top finished in a sort of transparent blueburst and a pale moon ebony fingerboard. Its set-in neck is a composite of American black walnut and roasted white ash. Look closer and you’ll see hand-painted feathers by Mika Noy along the fingerboard and body.

The bass has many interesting angles, with a signature body carve and an asymmetric neck profile. Boyarsky fit the bass with single coil pickups in an SS S configuration and a piezo system. Its PASS BASS preamp has a built-in lithium-ion battery that can run for 200 hours per charge.

This is a true beauty of an instrument. Meticulously crafted by the look of it and sounds great to boot. One of my favorites over the past couple of years. What an eye catcher!
