Ibanez’s New EHB Basses with Fishman Fluence Pickups Set for NAMM Debut
This year marks five years since Ibanez unveiled their popular headless bass, the EHB. The company will be on hand at NAMM this year to show off the latest in the lineup: the EHB5MSBSP and EHB1675MS. Each model sets itself apart from the standard EHB by adding Fishman Fluence Bass Humbuckers and electronics.
“Functionally, the basses are quite similar, with the primary differences lying in their materials and aesthetics,” Ibanez writes. “The EHB1675MS boasts a pale moon ebony top on an Ash body, complemented by brushed stainless pickup covers. The EHB5MSBSP features an American Basswood body finished in Midnight Ocean Arctic Matte, with dark blue pickup covers, bridge pieces, and inlays, giving it a distinctive look within the EHB series. Both basses are designed with the modern player in mind and deliver an extensive range of sonically rich tonal options.”
The Ibanez EHB5MSBSP and EHB1675MS carry street prices of $1,999 and $1,899.
