Short-Scale Spector Basses Are Finally Here: Custom Shop Expands NS Series

Manufacturers have used different scale lengths throughout the years, but the standard for a bass guitar is generally 34 inches. There has been a rise in popularity for short-scale instruments over the past decade and experimentation with longer scales. Spector has decided to embrace multiple scale lengths across their instruments from their Custom Shop.
“From its inception in 1977, the Spector NS-1, and later the NS-2, NS-5 and NS-6, have long been an icon in the world of electric bass with its gorgeous curves, unrivaled playability, and distinctive tone,” the company writes. “Now, nearly 50 years later, the Spector Custom Shop is proud to offer this legendary instrument with all-new scale length options. For the first time ever, our neck-through NS-2, NS-5, and NS-6 models will be available in the player’s choice of four distinct scale lengths: 30”, 32”, 34” and 35.””
The option is now available for the Spector Custom Shop models in four, five, and even six-string basses. Spector says the new scale lengths add sonic versatility and comfort for players.
Spector Custom Shop is now offering the scale options on their NS basses. Prices vary depending on model and options chosen.

Yet another article lacking information about the availability of left-handed versions. Since Lefty instruments are no longer more rarer than meeting Sasquatch Jesus and Elvis all at the same time. I have actually found some in shops that are not the $99 crap. But it still would be nice when you dig into these companies that you could save us some time and ask the one extra question… Will you be making this in a lefty?
They should also include pricing. No treble will push anything if you pay them.
