Kevin Scott and Avedissian Pickups Unveil a Vintage-Meets-Modern P-Bass Pickup

Avedissian Pickups has unveiled a new signature split P pickup with Kevin Scott. The Gov’t Mule and Forq bassist worked with Avedissian to create a pickup that strikes a balance between the positive qualities of vintage and modern pickups.
“Over the years, I’ve played countless vintage and non-traditional P Bass pickups, always searching for the perfect balance of clarity and punch—but I always came up a little short,” Scott says. “Even my classic vintage P Bass had small imperfections I just learned to live with. After years of searching, Avedissian has created the perfect P Bass pickup. It not only captures everything you love about the classic P Bass sound but somehow takes it a step further. My new signature Avedissian P Bass pickup is designed to satisfy the most discerning traditionalists while also inspiring bassists who are looking to shape the future of the P Bass sound.”
The KSP is wound with vintage style PE wire on an Alnico V magnet. It has an output of 12.6k.
The Avedissian Kevin Scott Signature Split P is available now for $160.
