Dingwall SP1, Aristides S/B5, Nathan East’s Funk Jam, and Trujillo on Tour: This Week in Bass
Had a busy week? We’ve got you covered with the most important bass stories from May 31st to June 6th.
Dingwall released the SP1 Bass as part of their Ready to Play series. Blending a timeless design with the company’s signature appointments, the bass has fanned frets, a Quad-Tone control, and four fetching finishes: Metallic Black, Vintageburst, Dark Candy Green, and Ducati Pearl White. Next up, fans were intrigued by our bass of the week, which is the S/B5 by Aristides Instruments. It has a unique construction with a one-piece body and neck over an Arium core. Click through to read more on that.
The most-watched video on No Treble was a “straight-up funk workout” called “Three Worlds.” Bass legend Nathan East led the groove with Erick Walls and John Paris for a jam that will break your neck. In a totally different feel, the next video was a live clip of Metallic from their M72 World Tour in Toronto. Robert Trujillo tore into the riffage on a custom metallic gold mirrored Warwick bass.
