Coheed and Cambria Bring the Heat to Chicago [Photo Gallery] & Tour Schedule

Coheed and Cambria brought their full force to Chicago on August 19 at the Huntington Bank Pavilion. The night opened with Foxing, who set the tone with their layered and emotional sound. Taking Back Sunday followed with a high-energy set that had the crowd fully locked in.

Then Coheed took the stage and turned it all the way up. The setlist hit everything from deep cuts to essentials like “Blood Red Summer” and “In Keeping Secrets of Silent Earth: 3.” They closed the night with a surprise cover of “Mr. Brightside” and a massive version of “Welcome Home.”

Zach Cooper was locked in all night, running his Yamaha BB series basses through Aguilar amps. The tone was clear, fat, and right where it needed to be in the mix. It added a ton of weight to the band’s already dense sound.

I had the chance to photograph the show and wanted to share a look at the night through my lens. Scroll down for a full gallery from the Chicago stop.  Current tour dates listed at the bottom.  All photos taken by Jody Miller
