Tim Lefebvre Shines in Newly Released Lockn’ 2015 Performance with Tedeschi Trucks Band, Leon Russell, and Chris Robinson
A newly released video takes us back to the Mad Dogs & Englishmen Revisited set at the 2015 Lockn’ Festival. The performance features Tedeschi Trucks Band with the late Leon Russell and The Black Crowes’ Chris Robinson. Together they deliver a stirring version of “With A Little Help From My Friends,” the Joe Cocker classic.
On bass is Tim Lefebvre, who was a member of Tedeschi Trucks Band from 2013 to 2018. His deep groove and versatility anchor the huge ensemble, driving the music forward while leaving space for the singers and players to soar.
The Lockn’ set reunited Russell with a stage full of talent, with Derek Trucks and Susan Tedeschi leading the band. Tedeschi Trucks Band served as the house band for the tribute, joined by Robinson and other special guests celebrating the Mad Dogs & Englishmen legacy.
Nearly a decade later this release offers a chance to revisit a powerful moment in live music history, with Lefebvre’s bass work at the center of it.
