The MC Revolution Reimagines Stevie Wonder’s “Superstition” With Bernard Purdie

Bassist and arranger Christian Fabian has teamed up with guitarist/producer Mark Kassa for a project called The MC Revolution, and today we’re featuring a special track from the group.
“[The MC Revolution’s] mission is aimed at honoring the greats of our time and they have come out of the gate with a bang!” they share. “They tackled one of the most iconic songs of our time and teamed up with drumming legend Bernard Purdie, the most recorded drummer in history, whose discography is woven into the fabric of history.”
Purdie gives the group their groove on the classic Stevie Wonder song “Superstition.”
“The track features Bernard alongside an impressive lineup who were all eager to honor him, including multi-Grammy winners like: Lonnie Park, Tony Lindsay (Santana), Kitt Wakeley, Delfeayo Marsalis, Ryan Shore, Ricky Kej, Alex Acuna (Weather Report), Anita Lerche, and Anibal Martinez, with Mark Kassa on guitar and Christian Fabian on bass.”

“Superstition” is streaming now on Apple Music, Amazon Music, and more.
