“Take Five” Reimagined: Ellen Alaverdyan Handles the Groove and the Melody with Gregg Bissonette

Ellen Alaverdyan is back with a really fun take on “Take Five” and she is joined by Gregg Bissonette who always makes everything feel good. Ellen handles both the rhythm and the melody and she makes it all look easy.

She plays the melody on her short scale Mayones Commodus and uses the Cali 4 Mayones for the main groove. The Commodus gives her lines a warm singing quality while the Cali 4 keeps the foundation steady and clear.

Gregg brings a lively feel and the two lock in right away. It is a quick performance but it is packed with great tone and a lot of charm. Ellen keeps raising the bar and it is a blast to watch.
