Weekly Top 10: Fender’s Lavender Haze Jazz Bass, 2026 Squier Updates, and This Week’s Must-See Bass Clips
Welcome back to No Treble’s weekly roundup of the best in bass.
As things begin to head up for the NAMM Show this week, the gear news has started rolling in. While Fender won’t be appearing at the show, they’ve made a few timely announcements. First is the Player II Lavender Haze Jazz Bass, a collaboration with Chicago Music Exchange and Andertons. It’s more than a retro finish: the bass has “Full Dip” pickups and dual concentric knobs. Fender also refreshed several basses in their Squier Series for 2026.
While we wait for new basses and amps to be unveiled, No Treble readers have been getting their groove on with killer clips by Kinga Głyk, Oteil Burbridge, Ellen Alaverdyan, Brandon Boone, Pino Palladino, Riccardo Oliva, and Laura Lee.
