Billy Sheehan, Fodera x Trickfish, and Ibanez Mode Series Top No Treble’s Weekly Chart

It was another big week on No Treble, and once again, Mr. Billy Sheehan was in our most-read article. Mr. Big released a new live studio video from Sweetwater Sounds featuring the songs “Colorado Bulldog” and “The Price You Gotta Pay.” “It is another reminder that Mr. Big remain a musician’s band at heart, and that the interplay between Billy Sheehan and Paul Gilbert is still very much the engine that makes it all work,” Jody reminds us.

As we continue to unpack all the new gear from NAMM, we shared a new collaboration between Fodera Guitars and Trickfish Amplification. The Fodera X Trickfish Preamp & Practice Amp reportedly gives the Fodera tone “anywhere – with any bass.” Click through to get our interview with Joey from Fodera from the NAMM Show Floor.

Ibanez’s new Mode Series is a new entry in its catalog, tackling the tried and true dual single-coil pickup configuration. Central to the new design is the new Delta pickups, which Ibanez say provide the traditional brightness and cut of J-style basses with hum-cancelling operation. The Sonitech S Preamp includes a Hexa-Mid system with six distinct bands of mid-range.

Other top stories include Tech 21’s new Programmable SansAmp Bass Driver ELITE, a Mohini Dey jam, Warwick’s annual limited edition model, a Bass Gym workout inspired by a ’64 Fender Jazz, and more.
