Watch Brady Watt Build Iniko’s Songs Live with Bass and Loops

Brady Watt has built his Bass & Bars series around a beautifully simple concept: bass and vocals.

Over the years, Watt has paired up with an impressive list of artists including Warren G, Talib Kweli, Xzibit, Pharoahe Monch, B Real, Jadakiss, Styles P, Murs, MC Eiht, Havoc, and more. The performances typically put Watt on bass with an MC delivering their verses over his grooves. Watt told us in our 2022 interview that launching the series was a turning point in his career.

Episode 85 changes up the formula a bit. Watt is joined by singer Iniko for an intimate three song performance featuring “Jericho,” “The King’s Affirmation,” and “Man in Black.”  Playing his Modulus bass, Watt builds the arrangements live, layering his parts with a looper and creating the foundation for Iniko’s vocals. The chemistry between the two is incredible and the stripped down setting makes every part hit harder.
