WATCH: Danny Carey Joins Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson for “Tom Sawyer” and “2112”
Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson teamed up with Tool drummer Danny Carey for a pair of Rush classics in the new Neil Peart documentary, Neil Peart: No One’s Disciple.
Carey joins Lee on bass and Lifeson on guitar for performances of “2112: Overture” and “Tom Sawyer,” taking on two of Peart’s most iconic drum parts.
The sessions were filmed specifically for the documentary which also features several of Peart’s drummer friends playing Rush material with Lee and Lifeson. Chad Smith performs “Working Man,” Stewart Copeland takes on “New World Man,” and Gavin Harrison plays “Dreamline.”
Neil Peart: No One’s Disciple premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival on September 16, 2026 before airing on CBC and CBC Gem on September 23.
