It’s been 40 years since This Is Spinal Tap spoofed and celebrated the madness of rock and roll, and now director Rob Reiner has revealed a proper sequel is in the works.

Spinal Tap bassist Derek Smalls has announced a new deluxe version of his debut album, “Smalls Change.” Originally released in 2018, the new version will have two new live tracks recorded in 2019 with the Hungarian Studio Orchestra.

It’s time to crank it back up to 11 because a sequel to 1984’s “This Is Spinal Tap” is in the works. Director Rob Reiner as well as actors Michael McKean, Christopher Guest, and Harry Shearer (Derek Smalls) will be returning.
