Esperanza Spalding performs “Tell Him” at The White House Unplugged Poetry Jam

On May 12, 2009, the White House held the “Unplugged Poetry Jam”, and bassist Esperanza Spalding was one of the featured performers. Esperanza is obviously becoming a White House favorite. She took the stage at the Nobel Peace Prize Ceremony this morning, and will perform a concert at the ceremony tomorrow. Here’s Esperanza performing “Tell Him”:

Bassist Esperanza Spalding performed at the White House for the Obama family in early 2009, celebrating the music of Stevie Wonder. This video clip includes her performance of “Overjoyed”.
