Tool has announced a new festival in the Dominican Republic called Live in the Sand, and to say it looks promising is an understatement. The fest will feature two nights of Tool and performances by Primus, Mastodon, Coheed and Cambria, Eagles of Death Metal, King’s X, Fishbone, Wheel, CKY, and Moon Walker.

Earlier this year, vocalist Maynard James Keenan threw a 60th birthday bash that evolved into a sold-out month-long tour featuring Puscifer, A Perfect Circle, and Primus. The party returns in 2025 with Sessanta 2.0, which will see the three bands embark on another U.S. tour.

Primus faced a dilemma last week at the Sick New World Festival in Las Vegas. The band’s gear was stranded in a snowstorm. Les Claypool and Larry LaLonde didn’t think twice – they ran to the nearest guitar shop and bought a pair of matching Fender instruments. Now, they’re auctioning the Fender guitars to raise money for St. Jude Children’s Hospital.

One of the most anticipated tours of 2024 is the Sessanta tour, which will feature A Perfect Circle, Primus, and Puscifer all on one stage to celebrate singer Maynard James Keenan’s 60th birthday. Now the groups have revealed that they’ve made an album together.

Primus is teaming up with Coheed and Cambria for a co-headlining summer tour to see the groups playing 25 shows between June and August. The tour will also have support from Fishbone, Guerilla Toss, and Too Many Zooz.
