Xlson Audio has announced a new microphone system designed specifically for the double bass. The new model is a follow-up to Chuck Israel’s signature microphone and builds upon its predecessor in a whole new way.

Dunlop has teamed up with Polish extreme metal band Behemoth to create a signature line of guitar and bass strings. The band, anchored by Tomasz “Orion” Wróblewski, now has artist series four and five-string bass sets.

Richter Straps has teamed up with Green Day’s Mike Dirnt to create a new signature bass strap. The handmade straps are crafted with genuine Nappa leather from Italy, which they describe as smooth and breathable.

Voltage Cable Company has introduced a new cable called the Vintage Coil Cable that comes in seven retro colors: Surf Green, Electric Blue, Orange, Caramel, Black, White, and Red. The 30-foot cables have an old-school coil style that’s got modern protection.

DR Strings has expanded its coated string line with Dragon Skin+, which is available for guitar, mandolin, and bass. The new design upgrades the core and wrap wires to be “exceptionally musical, balanced, and loud.”

Walrus Audio has introduced four new power supplies to their Canvas series. The models are differentiated by the number of outputs (five, eight, fifteen, or twenty-two) that deliver up to 500mA of isolated, clean 9-volt power.

Graph Tech has added a new set of tuners to their popular RATIO Total Control Machine Heads designed specifically for left-handed bassists. Available in 2+2 or 4-in-line configurations, the new set is made to fit left-handed basses.

Dunlop has teamed up with Metallica’s Robert Trujillo to unveil the latest in their signature series of bass strings. The set was designed with the bassist to complement his signature sound.

Black Ice Enterprises has announced two new products to mod your bass: the Black Ice Boost and the Black Ice Distort. The units are small, battery-free devices that the company says can be easily installed in a guitar or bass.

Ernie Ball is expanding their lineup of Flatwound Bass Strings for 2024 with three new gauges including two short scale sets. As part of the line, they feature polished stainless steel ribbon winding and a custom core-to-wrap ratio.

Many products were launched at NAMM, from monster rigs to elegant new bass guitars. However, one new gadget that caught our eye was the Thumb Fin. The thumb rest uses suction cups to easily be placed and removed on any bass without any alterations.

Xvive has announced the G1 Butterfly Guitar Stand, a compact stand that accommodates bass guitar, electric guitar, acoustic guitar, and more. Designed in Germany, the stand cradles your instrument in an upright position.
