This week we’re checking out a bass by 5th Day Products called Mallory, which takes its name from Juliette Lewis’ character in “Natural Born Killers“. Luthier Jeremy McDiarmid explains that everything about the bass is oversized.

Sam Montooth recently shared photos of his new bass on Facebook and it stopped me in my tracks. This Gold Series six-string bass by the inimitable Rob Elrick bass grabs your attention with a ton of unique features.

This week we’re checking out a custom one-off by Wahlbrink that they dubbed “The Headless White” for pretty obvious reasons. The bass utilizes an ETS headless tuning system and its swamp ash body is finished in white.

This week we’re featuring another amazing bass by Tangente Instruments. The Domino is a fretless four-string built from local lumber with some intricate woodworking.

Hofner’s Green Line is a series created to be as environmentally friendly as possible. Started with classical guitars, the series now includes a version of their 500/1 violin bass. It carries all of the features of the original version with some interesting differences.

This week we’re checking out the SBC Guitars SH1B Falcon, which is a custom headless bass designed with bassist Calvert Stephens. The six-string bass also has a multi-scale neck.

This week we’re taking a look at an amazing steampunk bass from EBG-Instruments built for endorser Jimmy Johannson. Luthier Marc Locher implemented tons of features to the instrument, including a band logo and a volume control that goes to 11.

This week we’re checking out a real beauty by Ulrich BassDesign. This weathered blue five-string is built with a thermo-modified alder body and a six-piece maple and mahogany neck. While its unique body shape and color stand out, there are plenty of other details to catch.

Jordan Rannells sent us some details on his amazing new bass by Rybski Custom Bass Guitars. Dubbed “The Empathy Bass,” the instrument features the empathy symbol, which represents two sides reaching out to each other.

This week we’re checking out the P-Bass Prototype #2 by Kazakhstan’s Adil Sabit Guitars. The semi-hollow body bass mixes some old school elements with some more modern features.

Alberto Rinaldis shared his recently finished EVO-FX4 bass with us, which seems like part sports car with its sleek lines and attractive yellow finish. The Luxembourg-based luthier made sure it plays as well as it looks.

This week we’re checking out the Schönitz Zett, a five-string acoustic bass guitar with some interesting build details. Luthier Jens Schönitz optimized the body for comfort and extra volume.
