This week we’re checking out an Alpher Instruments Cobia Prime V2 that features an amazing Candy Orange finish over its one-piece roasted sugar pine body. The five-string bass also has a quartersawn roasted maple neck and fingerboard.

Neunaber has added to their pedal lineup with the Illumine Reverb. The highly flexible unit has 17 reverb effects with 50 factory presets and 50 user presets. They call the box a “low-power, pedalboard-friendly package with top jacks.”

Fender has unveiled the Mustang Micro, a super portable amplifier for guitar and bass. The tiny unit plugs into your instrument, then you plug in your headphones to start jamming.

Schecter has unveiled their latest artist model with the Daniel Firth Hellraiser Extreme-5 Signature Bass. The Cradle of Filth bassist’s new axe features a mahogany body with a quilted maple top in a Cthulhu Burst Satin finish.

Valenti Basses shared their latest V24-P5, which is a five-string p-style bass with a full 24 frets. This one, which is built with an alder body, has a rocking pink finish matched to a black pickguard.

Phil Jones Bass is rolling out a new product called the BP-200, which they bill as the “ultimate affordable bass head.” Rated at up to 200 watts, the compact head unit weighs just 2.5 pounds and can fit into a backpack.

McGregor Pedals has unveiled the Cozmic Fuzzball, a fuzz/distortion pedal designed for both bass and guitar. Builder Garth Heslop created the circuit by stacking hard clipping with soft clipping and adding an overdriven transistor.

Prestige Guitars gave some extra mojo to this Custom Shop Phantom Bass. The model already takes its cues from a ’50s bass, but this particular bass’s seafoam green finish and awesome pickguard push things into the ’60s.
