I can always count on my buddy Tim Starace to send me some great videos by YYNOT. This one was filmed at the band’s show at the Sherman Theater on February 19th and features one of their originals.

I’ve always been a fan of Simon Phillips and his Protocol bands. Here’s the fifth lineup, with the great Ernest Tibbs on bass, performing “The Long Road Home”.

Charles Berthoud never ceases to amaze, and this video takes things to a whole different level. In this clip, Charles plays “Canon Rock”, starting off with a bow on his bass guitar before hitting all the other techniques.

I honestly can’t remember how I stumbled upon this video with Fernando Rosa, but that’s not important. I’m just glad I did. In this clip, Fernando plays an incredible bass solo for guitarist Mello Júnior’s album.

I just stumbled upon this video of Hiram Bullock and his band performing Leverkusener Jazztage in 2003, and I was glad I did. In this clip, Hiram is joined by Steve Logan on bass, Jeremy Gaddie on drums, and Ricky Peterson on organ.

StickHits remastered a 2012 soundcheck video of Rush in Dallas, and it is a great behind-the-scenes look of the band. Here they are running through “Limelight”.

Rosan Asmussen messaged me to share her new video, which contained this note: “This my message to the world.” In this clip, Rosan took Graham Central Station’s “POW” and made it her own with an added message.

Scary Pockets is bringing it in this new video featuring guests David Ryan Harris on vocals and Larry Goldings on organ. Anchored by the groovy lines of bassist Sean Hurley, here’s their cover of Harris’s tune, “Kerosene”.

We’re super pumped for the release of John Ferrara’s new solo bass album, “A Lesson in Impermanence”. He’s just put out a video for “Riches to the Conjurer” which is mind-boggling. It is still mesmerizing to see how he does it.

Even if we can’t all catch a live performance by Rebecca Johnson and her band, we can all enjoy the results. Here’s a new video Rebecca shared a couple of days ago, with her trio laying it down on George Benson’s “On Broadway”.

Victor Wooten shared this incredible video on Facebook yesterday, saying, “Some Improvising tips to help free your mind.” It is always amazing to hear Vic speak, and his unique approach to music.
