Our friend Randall Webb sent in this clip of The Byrds tearing through an epic version of “Eight Miles High” at the Fillmore East in 1970. The band’s lineup at the time was the quartet of Roger McGuinn, Clarence White, Gene Parsons, and Skip Battin.

Cory Henry has a new album coming out on October 30th. From “Something to Say”, here’s the live performance video for the first track, “Don’t Forget”. As usual, Sharay Reed is in the pocket!

Kinga Glyk said “There are some bass lines I just want to know how to play… I tried to figure out what Joe Dart is playing in this song… woooow crazy!!” The tune is Vulfpeck’s “It Gets Funkier IV”, and Kinga nails it.

I can’t remember when I saw the first video by Kingfish, but it has been a while. I was an instant fan. A couple of days ago, NPR shared this fantastic Tiny Desk (Home) Concert video featuring the guitarist along with bassist Paul Rogers.

As always, Rebecca Johnson and her band knock us out with each new video they share. In this one, they perform Michael McDonald’s “I Keep Forgettin’.” Rebecca’s tone is incredible, and once again, she simultaneously handles the lead vocals.

With the tragic news of the passing of Eddie Van Halen, Charles Berthoud decided to record a tribute. He asked his fans for suggestions, and “Eruption” made the list. Charles pulled off this tall task with a fantastic bass version of the iconic tune.

MonoNeon has been impressing us for years on the bass. Now he’s doing it again with vocals – and bass. Here’s a new track by MonoNeon and Davy Nathan. MonoNeon he not only handles the bass and vocals, but also guitar, keyboards, and percussion.

Jesús Rico Pérez is back with another incredible video. In this clip, Jesús performs Michael Manring’s “Night is Darkness Enough,” which is a track on Manring’s 2020 album, “Small Moments”. As always, Jesús knocks it out of the park.

I’ve been going back through videos featuring Mohini Dey and found this incredible performance with Louiz Banks from 2015. This clip features Banks’ tune, “Timeless”, which he says “is inspired by the sun, the wind, and the flowing river.”
