Every time I watch a video by the REO Brothers, I’m just as impressed as I was with the last. These guys are so remarkable at recreating tunes so faithfully to the originals. Here they are performing the Beatles’ “Getting Better”.

Scary Pockets just shared their latest video, with guest vocalist Joanna Jones. In this clip, the band takes on the Billie Eilish tune, “My Future.” Joe Ayoub performs with the band once again and lays it down on a ’72 Fender Precision Bass.

Lake Street Dive took Halloween to a whole new level this weekend with a rooftop remake performance of the Beatles’ “Don’t Let Me Down”. Bridget Kearney and the band not only nail the tune, but also the costumes.

Weather Report’s “Black Market” was my introduction to the band. It was also my introduction to Jaco Pastorius and Alphonso Johnson. I’ve seen this video many times, but we’ve never shared it here: their live performance of “Black Market” at Montreux.

For years, we’ve seen many bassists taking on Jaco Pastorius’ “Teen Town”. Over the past four years, we’ve seen the same with Vulfpeck’s “Dean Town”. Craig Macfadyen decided to mashup the two, and we were completely knocked out by how he did it.

It’s been a while since we’ve seen a video by Zander Zon, but he’s back with a new and incredible bass arrangement. In this one, Zander takes on “He’s a Pirate” from the “Pirates of the Caribbean” soundtrack.
